Community Tree Planting
Come decompress after work on Wednesdays! Help us with planting, watering, weeding, mulching, composting, & maintaining the guilds of our beautiful EcoGarden, a permaculture orchard located next to the Day-Riverside Library.
We will have tools or you can bring your own. It's a great way to volunteer and connect with our great community! FREE and open to the public to join us - just show up!
In August and early September, we'll be meeting on Wednesdays, 6pm - 7:30pm. Located just south of the Day-Riverside Library Branch, you can use the library parking lot for parking!

Join TreeUtah to plant trees at Magna Regional Park, Friday, September 11th, from 1pm to 4pm!
Location: Magna Regional Park (4042 S 7200 W, Magna, UT 84044).
When you arrive, look for the green TreeUtah tent and check in. Once everyone's there, we'll do a welcome, planting demonstration with arborists, and safety talk. Then we'll break into groups and get planting! We will bring all the tools, trees, soil amendments, safety equipment, light snacks, drinks and trained staff to guide you.

Join TreeUtah and the Alta Environmental Center on Saturday, September 12th to help us plant over 1,000 Engelmann spruce saplings!

Participants should be at least 12 years of age.
This event involves hiking in challenging, off-trail terrain and using hand tools to plant each tree. Participants should be prepared for strenuous activity—we recommend it for those with intermediate to advanced hiking experience.

Location: Wheadon Farm Park (13965 S Bangerter Pkwy, Draper, UT 84020).
Note: this is the new location for the planting on 9/16/26.
Originally, the planting was intended for Magna Regional Park but we have moved it to Wheadon Park for this specific date!
When you arrive, look for the green TreeUtah tent and check in. Once everyone's there, we'll do a welcome, planting demonstration with arborists, and safety talk. Then we'll break into groups and get planting! We will bring all the tools, trees, soil amendments, safety equipment, light snacks, drinks and trained staff to guide you.

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
