Planting Trees at Wheadon Farm Park!

Planting Trees at Wheadon Farm Park!

Join TreeUtah to plant trees at Wheadon Farm Park, Wednesday, September 16th, from 9am to noon!

Location: Wheadon Farm Park (13965 S Bangerter Pkwy, Draper, UT 84020).

Note: this is the new location for the planting on 9/16/26. Originally, the planting was intended for Magna Regional Park but we have moved it to Wheadon Park for this specific date!

When you arrive, look for the green TreeUtah tent and check in. Once everyone's there, we'll do a welcome, planting demonstration with arborists, and safety talk. Then we'll break into groups and get planting! We will bring all the tools, trees, soil amendments, safety equipment, light snacks, drinks and trained staff to guide you.

We will be planting trees in a park that is in need of extra trees. We ask that you wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Please bring your own refillable water bottle. TreeUtah will make sure there are plenty of snacks for you at the table and fizzy beverages on hand in the cooler.

We encourage people of all abilities to join us. If you have mobility issues or need any accommodation, please feel free to reach out in advance of the planting to Amy at 801-573-5685.

Please sign our waiver so we know to expect you:

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
