We plant large trees in public spaces throughout Utah, including city parks, school playgrounds, neighborhoods, and open spaces. Each event brings together volunteers, local organizations, and community members to enhance green spaces, improve air quality, provide shade, and create lasting connections between people and nature.
Our community tree planting program not only increases the number of trees in urban areas, it also helps educate participants about proper tree care, species selection, and the long-term benefits of healthy urban forests. These events serve as opportunities to promote environmental stewardship and inspire individuals to take an active role in maintaining the health of their local ecosystems. By planting trees together, we strengthen our communities, support biodiversity, and make Utah’s cities and towns more resilient.
If your community group or business is interested in getting involved, consider sponsoring a group tree planting. Your commitment to sustainability will be recognized and you can leave a lasting impact on your local community.
For areas outside of the urbanized Wasatch Front, we have our Tree Planting Grant Program. This grant provides the opportunity for rural communities to beautify the environment around them.
