Wuda Ogwa Planting Days

Join us on November 1st or 2nd (or both!) to take part in an incredible restoration project in partnership with the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation.
On both dates, we will begin planting at 10:00 am and expect to finish by 2:00 pm. You are welcome to join us for either or both planting dates. We will provide lunch at 1:30 pm.
Parking will be limited, so please carpool when possible.
Before splitting into groups, we will begin with a safety talk and go over instructions for planting.
This project is part of a great effort to restore the Bear River Massacre site. By restoring this land, we are we improving water quality for wild and urban communities all along the Bear River and we will be replacing invasive species with native plants that will enrich the regional ecology.
We will work rain or shine. Please plan to dress for the weather, with extra warm layers just in case, and be prepared to the best of your abilities.
Detailed instructions will be sent closer to the event.

Everyone can help
TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
