Tree Planting at Herman Franks Park

Tree Planting at Herman Franks Park

Come plant trees with us on Tuesday, April 22nd from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Herman Franks Park in Salt Lake City (1371 S 700 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84105).

When you arrive at the planting location, look for our big green tent to make sure you're in the right place and to check in. Once everyone has arrived, we'll begin with a brief safety talk and a planting demonstration. Then, we'll split into groups and get planting.

We will bring the gloves, tools, trees, and expertise to guide you through the planting process. We ask that you wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and sun protection. We also recommend brining a reusable water bottle to fill at our water station.

So we know to expect you, please fill out our Volunteer Waiver at the link below:

This community tree planting event was made possible in part by YOU through Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks. Thank you!

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
