Plant an Orchard on the 9-Line Trail

Volunteers work together to plant a tree in a field

Join us on Saturday, November 11th at 10:00am to plant the first trees to be added to the 9-Line community orchard!

This future orchard is located along the 9-Line Trail just north of the home at 1115 Hayes Avenue.

Click here or visit the following link for directions to the planting locationhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/m7RP9Vd9nWadTJYaA

When you arrive at the planting location, find our big green tent to check in. Once everyone has arrived, we'll start with a brief safety talk and planting demonstration. Then, we'll split into groups and get planting.

We will bring the trees, tools, soil amendments, and expertise to guide you through the planting process. We ask that you wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, sun protection, and enough layers to plant comfortably in the day's weather. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to fill at our water station.

So we know to expect you, please fill out our volunteer waiver by clicking here or by visiting the following link: https://treeutah.dm.networkforgood.com/forms/tree-utah-volunteer-waiver

This event was made possible in part by you through Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks. Thank you!

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
