Habitat Restoration: Planting & Invasive Species Removal
Join Hogle Zoo, Jordan River Commission, TreeUtah, McCulley Watershed Consulting Service, & Salt Lake County for restoration planting! Help us restore natural habitat along the Jordan River! On this day, we may plant native trees and shrubs, remove Scotch thistle rosets, or spread native seeds. These activities help re-establish a healthy environment for both wildlife and people to enjoy.
This event will take place in South Salt Lake. The exact event location will be shared upon registration. Click here to register.
What to Bring & Wear: closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.), a reusable water bottle – we will provide a cooler for refills. Hogle Zoo will provide all necessary tools for the event.
Please submit one registration per participant. Adult guardians may register children who are volunteering with them.

Everyone can help
TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
