Community Tree Planting

Volunteer with TreeUtah and the Alta Environmental Center as we harvest saplings that have grown along Alta’s ski runs. This sapling rescue will take place on Saturday, July 27th from 9:00am to noon at Alta.

Join us at the Nature Center at Pia Okwai (3310 S 1000 W, South Salt Lake, UT 84119) on Saturday, September 7th at 9:00 AM to kick off our Fall planting season!

Come plant trees with us at Jefferson Park (Fremont Ave and West Temple) in Salt Lake City on Saturday, September 14th at 9:00am.

This wonderful community park could use more trees and we hope you'll join us to plant them!

Come plant fruit trees with us at the historic Muir-Poulsen Orchard at Dimple Dell (3006 East Mount Jordan Road) on Saturday, September 14th at 1:00pm.

We've planted at the Muir-Poulsen orchard a few times in the past years and we're looking forward to returning to the site to plant even more!

Join us for Alta’s busiest event of the season as we spend a burly day on the mountain planting up to 1,000 tree saplings. We will hike to different locations throughout Alta and decide where to plant seedlings based on characteristics including aspect, elevation, and vegetation type to increase the likelihood of survival. 

Join us for a special restoration planting at 9:00 am on Thursday, September 26th at Ty's Garden on the Eastern edge of the Hidden Hollow Nature Preserve (1255 E 2100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84106) in Sugar House.

Come plant trees with us at Cottonwood Park in the Fairpark neighborhood of Salt Lake City. We'll be at Cottonwood Park (1580 W North Star Dr 300 North, Salt Lake City, UT 84116) on Saturday, September 28th at 9:00 am to bring some more green to this wonderful community park and we hope you can join us!

We're excited to be joining forces with Breathe 4 Trees for this awesome tree planting event on Saturday, October 5th at the Nature Center at Pia Okwai (3310 S 1000 W, South Salt Lake, UT 84119) from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and we hope you can join us!

Let's plant trees at Magna Regional Park (4042 S 7200 W, Magna, UT 84044) on Saturday, October 12th at 9:00 am!
