Tree Planting at Wheeler Historic Farm

A large group of volunteers plants trees near a big brown barn

Join TreeUtah on Saturday, September 16th at 9:00am at Wheeler Farm (6351 S 900 E, Murray, UT 84121) to plant trees!

We will meet at Wheeler Farm on the South side of the big barn at 9:00am. When you arrive, look for our big green tent to check in. Once everyone has arrived, we'll start with a safety talk and planting demonstration. Then, we'll split into groups and get planting!

We'll bring the trees, soil amendments, tools, safety equipment and expertise to guide you along the way. We will also bring light snacks and refreshments.

We ask that you wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, clothing you don't mind getting dirty, and sun protection. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle.

Please sign our volunteer waiver so we know to expect you:

We're looking forward to planting with you!

If you have any questions about this event, please contact Amy May at 801-573-5685.

Special thanks to the Salt Lake and Millcreek Rotary Clubs and to the Bennion Center for joining us in this effort to plant trees over 30 trees at Wheeler Historic Farm. This wouldn't have been possible without your help.

This event was also made possible by you through Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks. Thank you!

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
