Provo River Delta Restoration

Join us on Thursday, May 11th at 9:00am to plant trees at the Provo River Delta.

The Provo River Delta Restoration Project broke ground in 2020 in an effort to restore the delta to its natural state, which will provide regional wildlife such as the endangered June sucker with essential habitat. In addition to the benefits of restoring the delta to resume its natural ecological functions, the project will provide residents of the area with a new recreational site where they can get out and enjoy the beauty of Utah landscapes.

To get to the planting site, you can follow directions to Alligator Park (3899-3615, Boat Harbor Dr, Provo, UT 84601) on Google Maps and then use the map at the bottom of this page for additional instructions on finding the parking area.

We will be meeting at the planting site at 9:00am. When you arrive, look for our big green tent to check in. When everyone has arrived, we'll start with a safety talk and planting demonstration before splitting up into small groups to plant trees. We will bring all the tools, trees, soil amendments, safety equipment, light snacks, coffee/tea/drinks and trained staff to guide you. We ask that you wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
