Planting at Glendale Middle School

Join us this Saturday, May 6th at Glendale Middle School (1430 Andrew Ave, Salt Lake City, UT 84104) at 9:00am to plant trees around the brand new Ron McBride Track & Field!

After opening in November of last year, this new track and field has provided students and the broader community with a safe place to exercise. With your help, we'll continue to build upon this amazing project by planting trees, which will provide shade and clean air for those who use the track.

We will be meeting at the track at 9:00am. When you arrive, look for our big green tent to check in. When everyone has arrived, we'll start with a safety talk and planting demonstration before splitting up into small groups to plant trees. We will bring all the tools, trees, soil amendments, safety equipment, light snacks, coffee/tea/drinks and trained staff to guide you. We ask that you wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Please bring your own refillable water bottle.

Please also remember to fill out our volunteer waiver by clicking here.

If you have questions about this event, feel free to contact Amy May at 801-573-5685.

We're looking forward to planting with you!

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
