9/11 Day of Service Plant Trees with TreeUtah and Donate Food to the Olympus Food Pantry
9/11 Day of Service is a chance to honor what happened on this day 20 years ago, but equally important is to look forward to making our nation, state, and neighborhood stronger through service.
Meet at the west amphitheater of Canyon Rim Park at 9:00 AM (3100 S. 2900 E.). There will be a short welcome, a safety talk and planting demonstration, and then we'll plant trees! TreeUtah and Ivory Homes will provide the trees, shovels, gloves, first aid, mulch, soil amendments, and a water refill station. (Please bring your own reusable water bottle.) There will also be opportunities for other landscaping projects and beautification work at the park. Wear pants and closed-toed shoes, sun protection, and clothing you don't mind getting dirty.
The Olympus Food Pantry serves Olympus High School and the junior high and elementary schools. The pantry serves over 600 students and other people a week, and is funded and stocked by community donors. Please bring new and non-expired items to the event and place them in the designated bins that will be provided.
TreeUtah is a statewide 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Its mission is to improve Utah's quality of life for present and future generations by enhancing the environment through tree planting, stewardship and education.
Thank you so much for your spirit of service!! #911utahdayofservice #treeutah

Everyone can help
TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
