TreeUtah Office Administrator

Looking for a self-motivated person who has a personal mission aligned with the mission of TreeUtah: To improve Utah’s quality of life for present and future generations by enhancing the environment through tree planting, stewardship, and education.

This person will be responsible for communications (website, letters, social media posts, blog posts), data management, bookkeeping, office organization, and help with events.

Work hours vary depending on our event schedule. We have limited scheduling flexibility in April, May, September and October.

Responsibilities include:

  • Professional writing: email, blog, social media posts, website updates, calendar listings, invitations, program reports, press releases, brochures and letters
  • Maintaining files and providing back-office support to staff
  • Represent TreeUtah in public, making sure we always have an exceptional experience for anyone who interacts with us (online, in person, on the phone)
  • Bookkeeping data-entry: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and meticulous ongoing organization
  • Tracking purchases and supply levels
  • Attendance at events as needed

Qualifications:

  • Friendly, enthusiastic self-starter who loves being an essential part of a hard-working team
  • Strong public speaking and written communication skills with an ability to connect with all ages and ability levels - in person and through writing
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and special event hours as needed for events (especially April, May, September, and October)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Adobe, CRM/database

Preferences:

  • Interested in the identification, biology, and care of trees

Minimum 30 hours per week. Full-time, benefitted position (health, dental, disability, matching SIMPLE IRA). $15/hour+, DOE.
