Tree Mascot Carrie the Cottonwood – Volunteer Description

TreeUtah and Salt Lake County Million Trees are excited to be unveiling a new mascot, Carrie Cottonwood. Carrie, an 8 foot tall Fremont cottonwood tree, will be visiting schools and community events in Salt Lake County. We are actively recruiting volunteers that would be responsible for wearing the Carrie the Cottonwood mascot costume at schools and community events in Salt Lake County. Preferably, volunteers would be 5’9 to 5’10” tall to wear the costume comfortably, have some acting or mascot experience, comfortable in a confined space, ability to remain engaging and enthusiastic, able to stand for extended periods of time, be extremely reliable and able to pass a background check.

The majority of events will take place during the week for a few hours and some Saturdays – flexibility in scheduling is preferred.
