The hike will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. We’ll identify and talk about the trees that are found in the Wasatch and their role in the ecosystem. We’ll even delve into the history of forestry in the Wasatch. We’re looking forward to learning something new and we hope you’ll join us!

Attendees should plan to bringing their own snowshoes, and dressing more warmly than if they would just be solidly snowshoeing, as we’ll stop and chat along the way.  The hike will be on relatively gentle, flat terrain. All ages and abilities welcome.

Because of the nature of this activity, space is limited and all attendees must register to participate. To register or if you have additional questions, contact Alex Porpora, Education Coordinator, education@treeutah.org.

Come and learn about why our urban forest is so important and what feathered creatures you can find living there. The afternoon will be filled with hands-on tree activities and owl crafts. You can also find out more about how you can help plant trees with TreeUtah this coming spring! This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome. The program is included with the cost of admission to Tracy Aviary.
