Salt Lake City's Earth Day Tree Planting

Salt Lake City's Earth Day Tree Planting

Celebrate Earth Day on Monday, April 22nd with us in Salt Lake City at the Regional Athletic Center in Rose Park (2280 Rose Park Ln, Salt Lake City, UT 84116). There will be two shifts for planting this day. The first is from 9:00 am - noon. The second is from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

When you arrive at the planting site, look for our big green tent. Once everyone has arrived, we'll begin with a brief safety talk and planting demonstration. Then, we'll split into groups and get planting.

We will bring the trees, tools, soil amendments, and expertise to guide you through the planting process. We ask that you wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, enough layers to plant comfortably in the day's weather, and sun protection. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to fill either at our water station or in the athletic complex.

This event was made possible in part by you through Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks! Thank you!

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah.
